Recently the widely used Hornet Icon and picture used for several decades was the issue of some controversy between Georgia Tech and Carter High School. Apparently the Hornet was too similar to the Yellow Jacket. Carter High School had a contest with many entries. Carter High Schools very own Alumni Barry Armstrong (class of 87') submitted our new Hornet. Barry wanted to make sure we had our very own. Thanks Barry for working hard and giving us the New Hornet.
